What is Intellipop with UTOPIA Fiber?
UTOPIA Fiber is a community-owned fiber-optic network that delivers internet directly to your home over a dedicated fiber line. Unlike cable or wireless, UTOPIA operates on an open access model, meaning the network infrastructure is owned by the community and service is delivered by local providers like Intellipop. This keeps prices fair, service quality high, and gives you the freedom to choose. Your $30/mo UTOPIA infrastructure fee covers the fiber line to your home, and your Intellipop plan covers your internet service and your customer experience.
Payson was one of the original 11 UTOPIA cities, signing on in 2004. The full citywide build was completed in late 2021, making Payson one of the most connected communities in south Utah County with dedicated fiber reaching every address in the city.

How Does Installation Work?
UTOPIA Fiber handles the installation, and it's simpler than you'd expect. Your address determines whether your fiber line comes in overhead (from the power lines) or underground (through buried conduit). Either way, the result is the same: a dedicated fiber line running directly into your home.
1. Sign up and get scheduled
Pick your plan at signup.intellipop.com, and the UTOPIA Fiber team will reach out to schedule your install. If fiber is already at your address, service is typically active within 1 business day. If UTOPIA needs to build the line to your home, installation typically takes 2 to 3 weeks.
2. Fiber gets pulled to your home
On install day, a UTOPIA technician runs a fiber line from the network into your house and installs a fiber modem. It's a small wall-mounted box that works like a modem for fiber. They'll place it near a power outlet, usually in a garage, utility room, or home office.
3. Plug in your router and go
Connect your wireless router to the fiber modem, and you're online. The technician runs a speed test before they leave to make sure everything is locked in at the speeds you're paying for. UTOPIA doesn't provide routers, but any modern Wi-Fi router rated for gigabit speeds will work.
We Pride Ourselves on our Service
Why Intellipop in Payson
Payson has a habit of starting things. One of the first schools outside Salt Lake City (Peteetneet Academy, 1901). A founding city of UTOPIA Fiber (2004). UTOPIA's network was finished here in November 2021. Intellipop's headquarters and entire team, today.
Intellipop runs on the UTOPIA network Payson helped launch. We live where we work, and our building is on American Way, next door to Rocky Mountain ATV. When you call support, you're talking to someone who drives past your house on the way to ours, knows Memorial Park on a summer night, and has an opinion about the best taco truck on Main.
Is Fiber Available at Your Payson Address?
Intellipop fiber covers every part of Payson under ZIP 84651. American Way, Utah Avenue, around Temple Hill, the Peteetneet side, out by the orchards, along 800 East or 100 North, we're there. Parts of Santaquin, Spring Lake, Elk Ridge, and Woodland Hills also fall in our broader service footprint (check those pages for specifics). Enter your address to confirm.
Check AvailabilityFrequently Asked Questions
What is the $30 UTOPIA Fiber fee?
UTOPIA Fiber is community-owned. Every price on this page is our plan plus UTOPIA's $30/month network fee, which UTOPIA bills you directly. You get two statements (Intellipop and UTOPIA Fiber), and together they add up to the listed price for your plan.
Are there contracts or cancellation fees?
No contracts. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime with no penalty. Pricing locked through January 2027.
What speeds are available in Payson?
250 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps. All symmetrical. No throttling, no data caps.
How long does installation take?
If fiber is at your address: typically 1 business day. New build: 2 to 3 weeks. Check at the top of this page.
Is there a data cap or throttling?
No. The speed you pay for is the speed you get, 24/7.
Where is Intellipop located in Payson?
Our headquarters and main team are at 1548 W American Way, Unit H, Payson, UT 84651, right next door to Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. Walk-ins welcome during business hours. Most support is by phone or chat, but we are five minutes from anywhere in Payson if that matters to you.
How long does installation take in Payson?
Typically 1 business day if fiber is already at your address, or 2 to 3 weeks for a new build. UTOPIA handles the physical install (they built the Payson network), and we coordinate before and after. Same timeline as the rest of the UTOPIA footprint.
Is my equipment included?
Fiber modem included. For in-home WiFi, managed WiFi is $12.95/mo, or bring your own router (we recommend Asus AX or AC lines).
Who is the best ISP in Payson?
We are biased, of course. We think it is Intellipop, and the one number that is not our opinion is 4.9 stars across 1,500+ Google reviews. Every provider on the UTOPIA network in Payson sells the same fiber connection, so what is left to compare is everything around it: no contracts, no data caps, a fiber modem included, and real people on the support line 24/7.
Is Intellipop local to Payson?
Our entire team is in Payson. UTOPIA Fiber (the network we run on) serves Payson because Payson was one of the 11 founding cities that pledged to build it in 2004. UTOPIA completed the Payson network in November 2021. Intellipop has been serving Payson since launch.
