What is the $30 UTOPIA Fiber fee?+
UTOPIA Fiber is a community-owned fiber network built and maintained by a group of Utah cities. They charge a flat $30/month fee directly to you for the physical fiber infrastructure, similar to a utility line fee. Your Intellipop plan covers the actual internet service. You will receive two separate bills each month: $30 to UTOPIA Fiber, and your plan cost to Intellipop.
Are there contracts or cancellation fees?+
No contracts, ever. Intellipop is month-to-month and UTOPIA Fiber network access is also month-to-month. Cancel anytime with no penalty. Our current pricing is locked through January 2027, as long as our wholesale rates from UTOPIA remain the same.
What speeds do you offer?+
We offer four plans on the UTOPIA network: 250 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps. All plans include symmetrical upload and download speeds, no throttling, and no data caps.
How do I know if fiber is available at my address?+
Check your address at signup.intellipop.com. It takes about 30 seconds. UTOPIA Fiber internet is currently available in 21 Utah cities. If fiber is not at your address yet, we will notify you when it arrives.
How long does installation take?+
If fiber has previously been installed at your address, we can typically activate service within 1 business day. For a new build where fiber has not been run yet, UTOPIA's physical installation typically takes 2 to 3 weeks.
Is there a data cap or throttling?+
No. Intellipop does not throttle your connection or cap your data. The speed you pay for is the speed you get, 24/7.
